Incorporated in 1984, Bloomfield Mechanical specializes in mechanical solutions for the commercial, industrial, and residential environments. Located on US Highway 20 in Portage, Indiana, just off exit 19 of I-94, Bloomfield Mechanical operates predominantly in the northern Indiana, southern Michigan and Chicagoland Illinois market. Bloomfield Mechanical is a union contractor and employs skilled craftsmen in multiple trades.

In the beginning, the business focused mainly on residential and light commercial work. The company, met with early success, quickly began to take on larger industrial and commercial projects, highlighted at the time by the Robbins Resource Recovery power plant project in 1996. In the years to come, Bloomfield Mechanical continued to show profit and high growth, eventually finding its current niche as a commercial/industrial design build leader.

More recently, Bloomfield Mechanical has seen strong growth to more-specialized and custom products and projects. Building automation and monitoring systems, specialty filtration, and other custom products and installations have emerged as the new trend in the industry and Bloomfield Mechanical is on the leading edge in these products and their installation.
